2 years...2 years since I last laid eyes on this site and I must admit that I prefer this one to all the others. ...In any event, I transfered out of my last command in Washington state to place I know most people have never heard of. Let alone be able to find on a map of the world if they're life depended on it.

After taking some time to look back on the past 2 years, I can honestly see why I went through the hard times as well as the good. How I've come to find my verision of god, after being shown true kindness from a couple on my lay over in Japan. Whom I thank every day before I eat, for giving me difinitive proof that there are still good people in this world. Granted, I know that I'm taking such an act of kindness to far but I'd rather move in positive direction rather then go back to being as negative as I was years ago. Also...it proved to me without a doubt that...everything happens for a reason and that what does not kill you only makes you stronger.

Enjoying the New Year's festivites with a bitter-sweet taste this year. I guess working for over a year straight without any real time off will do that to person, but I have to do whatever it takes to make the ends meet. Tonight and tomorrow however I'm going to take some time to enjoy life. Also, to remember all the people that mean something to me and wish them all the best. All the while coming up with some mischevious pranks to play on them when I see them again, lol. All in all, I wish anyone that reads this dead page the best for New Year's and remember to take a brake every once in a while to smell the roses.

An old school must read...

Been gone for quite some time, not that it matters much. Any how, without a doubt one of the best books out there to check out is Starship Troops. Granted, I know most people just want to watch the movie and think they "get it." Truth is the movie only has the very most basic concepts of the book. The book actually gets in to the philosophy behind morality to such a point that it makes you stop to think about what's being said, with issues of juvinle delinqents, and the desire to "serve" for a higer purpose than our own personal survival and that of our society. With the back drop of the coming "bug war" always being present, yet in the back ground all at the same time. Granted, the military theme of the book is sure to turn a number of people but give a chance if your ever in the mood for some thing that will make you think

A current thought from S.O.A.

"Anarchism, really stand for the liberation of the human mind from the dominin of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government." - Emma Goldman

a chang in views...

Without a doubt this has been one of the more insightful books I've come across. To brass tack this, I feel every one should serve some time in the armed forces of their country. In a lot of ways it would make some of the in mature of us grow up quicker, become responsible adults (possibly) in some form or fashion, and unltimately force people to stop taking their "rights" for granted. The rights that the Constitution grants us, that was paid for "...with the blood of patriots." The sad thing about my theory is that it was far to narrow in scope. As reality as proven many times over, you can't force people to care about anything but their own survival. That is unless they've chosen to think/work for the greater good of all.

A side from the economy, I see no reason why people would join the military. At the very least, the people in the country that I live in. Since they'll have to "give up their constitutional rights," which is a big crock of bull shit! Since we're all free to do whatever the hell we please so, long as we're will and able to pay the price for our actions. Never the less, the military today is the way it should be. By this I mean I'm glad that it's a volunteer deal as is the same with the book. Since it proves that an individual is willing to think of the survival of something far greater then themselves. Which is very hard to come by now in today's world, were every one is made to feel like a big shot, regardless of their ability to produce the goods. Which, to brass tack this, is one hell of a short coming of our society world wide. Yet we obviously can't force people to care. Which is why I would love to live in the society this book presents all through out it's pages.

Sadly though, I know that this ideal society in my eyes at least, will never come in to fruition in my life time or in the future either. After all people still want to believe that the world is flat, that 2 & 2 equal 5, and that the tree of liberty does not have to be renewed with the blood of patriots from time to time.
